The third most common type of headache is….
3. Cervicogenic Headache. What does that mean?? Well it means that the pain in your head is actually caused my structures in your neck! Irritated joints, nerves and muscles in your neck CAN actually cause headaches. With this type of headache the pain can vary and be in a number of different locations in the head. Most commonly the pain is felt in the occiput region of the head. Which is the section of your head right above you neck. The key to diagnosis is that when structures in the neck are moved around or pressed on, head pain results.
Chiropractic treatment of the neck is very effective for cervigogenic headache relief! You should have a significant decrease in your symptoms after 2 treatments a week for 3 weeks.
