What’s the deal with Acupuncture?

For the first time in Olympic history, chiropractic care was fully integrated in treatment of athletes in the polyclinic in 2010 at the Winter Olympics games in Vancouver. Many athletes choose chiropractic care to improve function and athletic performance.

This year in Sochi American skier Julia Mancuso took the Bronze medal in the women’s super-combined. After the win she discussed with the Today Show the obstacles she overcame to win. One of these was a back injury. “I had to get my body really in tune,” said Mancuso, “so I spend a lot of time doing Pilates and going to the Chiropractor and taking care of my whole body.”

Mancuso is one of a growing legion of athletes and active people who are turning to drug-free, natural Chiropractic to stay on top of their game. And Chiropractic is not just for injuries anymore. Evidence shows that Chiropractic can be an important element of preventive care and performance enhancement alike. A body in alignment is stronger, more efficient, better performing, and therefore less likely to get hurt. That’s why athletes choose chiropractic!
